Generally known as the Exeter Show, the Great Western Kit and Car Builder Show is the curtain call for the season.
Held in November, the weather is inevitably on the cool (and potentially damp!) side, so the outside display is more limited than those events held in mid summer. That said, there’s always an eclectic mix of cars (and owners!) willing to risk the elements and park outside the main hall. What’s more, this year sees Westfield running a slalom display, similar to that seen at the recent Donington show – well worth watching.
The Westpoint venue is good, and the main hall is fully carpeted and looks terrific. As you can see from the manufacturers listing in the panel, there’s terrific support for this event, and even a few new car launches. Stateside manufacturer, Factory Five Racing has appointed a UK agent who will be displaying this company’s well established Cobra and Cobra Daytona replicas. OM Sportscars is another company making its debut at Exeter, with a 250 GTO replica bodyshell on a Datsun 240Z. This company now makes these shells in the UK having previously imported them from abroad.
On the Complete Kit Car stand we hope to have our Adrenaline Murtaya on show. It may not be finished (or even painted) by then, so will interest anyone who really wants to look beneath the skin of this 4-wheel-drive supercar. See you there.
